What is Biology:

Biology is a branch of science which deals with the scientific study of living organisms including their structures, functions and related aspects. It provides us information including problems and remedies regarding human health, food and environment etc.

Divisions of Biology

Zoology:

Zoology is a division of biology which deals with the study of animals, their health, food, environment, diseases and cures.

Botany:

The division of biology which deals with the study of plants, their relationships with microorganisms, food, environment and different processes occurring in them is called botany.

Microbiology:

The division of biology which deals with the study of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi, diseases caused by them and their uses in different medicines is called is called microbiology.

Branches of Biology

Morphology:

Morphology is a branch of biology which deals with the study of form and structures of different living organisms.

Anatomy:

The branch of biology which deals with the study of internal structures of different living organisms is called anatomy.

Histology:

Histology is a branch of biology which deals with the microscopic study of tissues of different living organisms.

Cell Biology:

The branch of biology which deals with the study of structures and functions of different cells and different organelles including the study of cell division is called cell biology.

The branch of biology which deals with the study of immune system of different living organisms which defend the body against invading microbes is called immunology.

The branch of biology which deals with the study of insects, their structure, functions and different behaviors is called entomology.

Socio-biology is a branch of biology which deals with the study of social behavior of animals and different living organisms that make up the societies.

The relationship of biology which deals with the study of chemical reactions taking place in the body of living organisms is called biochemistry.

The relationship of biology which deals with the study of living organisms from economical point of view that is living organisms are calculated through bioeconomic and benefits and loses can be determined is called bioeconomic.

Agriculture:

In this profession, food crops and animals are used and a lot of work is done on the betterment of crops like wheat, rice, corn from which we get food by the agriculturist.

In this profession, professionals looks natural forests and works for their improvement by planting and growing artificial forests.

Horticulture:

This is the art of gardening in which professionals work for the betterment of existing varieties and for the production of new ornamental plants and fruit plants.

In this profession, biotechnologists work on the use of living organisms to make beneficial products for the welfare of mankind.

Farming:

In this profession, professionals deals with the development of different types of farms and use technologies for the production of animals which are better source of protein and milk.

Animal Husbandry:

Animal Husbandry is a branch of agriculture which deals with the care and breeding of domestic animals for example cattle and sheep.
